TheCountryMusicHighway.com is a set of plain HTML pages. There are no accounts, no logins, no forms and no shopping cart. Nothing you type is sent to this site, because there is nowhere on it to type anything.

What the web server records

Like almost every web server, ours writes an access log entry for each file requested. Each entry contains your IP address, the date and time, the page or image requested, the page you arrived from if any, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and to investigate faults and abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you, are not sold, and are not shared with anyone except where we are legally obliged to.

Advertising

This site shows advertising supplied by Google AdSense. To do that, Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies in your browser, and may use a device identifier, in order to choose which advert to show, to limit how often you see the same one, and to measure whether it worked. Some of those adverts may be personalised based on information gathered across other sites you have visited.

Google explains what it collects on partner sites, and why, at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can review and turn off personalised advertising for your Google account at myadcenter.google.com. Turning personalisation off does not remove advertising; it makes it less relevant.

Your choices in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before advertising or analytics cookies are used, and you can accept or decline. That message is provided through Google's certified consent management platform. You can change your answer at any time using the privacy or consent link that the message leaves available on the page, and you can clear the choice entirely by deleting this site's cookies in your browser settings.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so we know which parts of the site are worth adding to. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what browser and device you used. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We use it to look at totals and trends, not to identify you.

To opt out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it, Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser also stops it, and the pages will still work.

Cookies set by this site itself

None. The only cookies you may receive here come from the Google advertising and analytics described above. Your browser settings can block or delete them, and the pages will still work normally without them.

Children

This site is a music directory intended for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
